GRIM, the Anthology

AMAZING NEWS!!!! I have been so excited about this for so long, and I finally get to share. Here’s the scoop from today’s Publisher’s Marketplace:

“CLAIRE DE LUNE and NOCTURNE author Christine Johnson, ed.’s GRIM, an anthology of dark fairy tale retellings, featuring stories by New York Times bestselling authors Ellen Hopkins, Amanda Hocking, Claudia Gray, Rachel Hawkins, Julie Kagawa, and others, to Natashya Wilson at Harper Teen, in a nice deal, for publication in Winter 2014, by Caryn Wiseman at Andrea Brown Literary Agency (World).” – Quick note. Natashya Wilson is at Harlequin Teen, not Harper Teen. Oh, PM, you can be so vexing. ANYWAY!

I’ve loved fairy tales FOREVER, and especially the weird, dark twisted roots of the stuff that gets turned into cheery animated films with musical numbers. These authors will take you back to those roots, and IT. WILL. BE. AWESOME. And I will be editing! I’m so excited! I cannot stand it!┬áHere is the full contributor list. Are you sitting down? Because it still makes me weak-kneed that all of these awesome authors agreed to write a story for GRIM.
