At the stroke of midnight, CLAIRE DE LUNE will have been available in the wild for exactly one month. Then, the contest begins! (Note: the Internet has a will of it’s own. We’re calling the contest started as of 9 p.m. on Thursday. Call it bonus hours!) It will run until midnight on Friday – eastern time.
There are many ways to enter:
On Twitter, mention #ClairedeLunebook or “@cjohnsonbooks contest” in a tweet (the more creative, the better) and get one entry. Retweeting the contest gets you a bonus entry!
On Facebook, post a comment on the CLAIRE DE LUNE fan page’s wall and get one entry – mentioning the contest in a status update gets you a bonus entry (please note whether you’ve made it your status in the wall post.)
In the blogosphere – get one entry for a thoughtful comment on this post. Get TWO entries for blogging about/linking to the contest on my site (please mention/put links to that in your comment.)
BUT WHAT CAN I WIN, you ask?
Sooooo many things. Brace yourselves.
I will be giving away:
AT LEAST twenty-five signed bookplates.
One signed cover flat for CLAIRE DE LUNE (slightly different than the final cover, as the title script is a bit smaller on the spine – it’s a one-of-a-kind!)
One signed copy of CLAIRE DE LUNE.
Prize pack #1 – a signed copy of CLAIRE DE LUNE plus an ARC of Jeri Smith-Ready’s hot debut YA novel, SHADE
Prize pack #2 – a signed copy of CLAIRE DE LUNE plus an ARC of Sarah Rees Brennan’s DEMON’S LEXICON with the *original* cover!
Prize pack #3 – a signed copy of CLAIRE DE LUNE plus a beautiful moonstone pendant in a fancy bag. (Get it? Werewolves? Moonstone? Plus, I love moonstone jewelry and wear it all the time.)
AND IF I GET TO 500 TWITTER FOLLOWERS AND/OR 250 FACEBOOK FANS BY THE TIME THE CONTEST ENDS, THERE WILL BE A SURPRISE, SUPER-FABULOUS BONUS PRIZE ADDED.
Spread the word. Tell your friends. Huzzah for CLAIRE DE LUNE!
Fine print: The contest is open internationally, though if you live overseas and win one of the prize packs, know that I will be sending them the most economical (read: slowest) way possible. Winners will be picked using a random number generator, and will be notified within 72 hours of the contest’s end. Also, the crystal bowl on the table is not part of the contest. It’s just part of my dining room. Sorry! If you have questions, please send me an email at email@example.com – thanks!
